Christina Kiriakos – VOICE
Christina Kiriakos is a Worship Leader and Song Writer for New Hope Oahu. She has been singing since she was 5 years old and has been playing piano since she was 11. She graduated from New Hope Christian College with her BA in Creative Arts with an emphasis in Vocal Performance. YPAC Musical credits include “Children of Eden”, “A Charlie Brown Christmas” (Lucy), “Les Miserables” (Eponine) & “Beauty and the Beast” (Belle). She has been teaching professionally for the past 6 years. Her passion is to help people discover theirGod given talents and walk with them through the process as they fulfill their potential.
Matthew Brown – VOICE
Matthew Brown has a gift and love for teaching, passing on his passion for music to his students in a way that motivates them, from young and old, and tailoring their lessons to meet their needs and goals. Matthew has taught private voice and piano lessons for over 3 years to both young children and adults. Matthew has played numerous YPAC Musical roles, beginning in 2005 as Tiny Tim in “A Christmas Carol”. Other roles include Lefou in “Beauty and the Beast”, the Scarecrow in “The Wiz” and most recently Jack in “Into the Woods”. He is currently the MusicDirector at New Hopes high school ministry (Thrive). With his diverse performance experience, combined with his years as a church musician, Matthew brings a well-roundedperspective to teaching.
Danice Smith – PIANO
Danice Smith began serving on the New Hope Front Lines team, playing piano, at the young age of 16. Since then, she received a Bachelors of Arts in Music and Youth Ministry at The Masters College and has been teaching piano locally for 10 years. Danice has been a YPAC rehearsal pianist and has played in numerous YPAC Musicals, including “Godspell”, “Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat”, “A Christmas Carol” and “Beauty and the Beast”. Danice is married to New Hope Oahu’s Evangelism Director, Pastor Justin Smith, and is the mother of 3 beautiful children.
Leilani Motet – PIANO
Leilani Motet has been teaching piano to children and adults of all levels, from beginners to advanced, for ten years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Pedagogy from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Music Education through Boston University. Besides serving on the worship team at New Hope Oahu, Leilani is also choral accompanist for the Voices of Aloha community choir and has played in the band for YPAC’s performances of “Les Mis”, “Shrek Jr.”, and “Beauty and the Beast”.
Christopher Kiriakos – GUITAR
Chris is a YPAC alumnist, beginning in 2003. Lead roles include George Bailey in “It’s a Wonderful Life”, Willy Wonka in “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” , Marius in “Les Miserables” and most recently Lumier in “Beauty and the Beast”. Chris graduated from New Hope Christian College, Oregon, with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Creative Arts with a concentration in Music and Worship. At the college, he studied guitar, voice, piano and music theory. He also helped to plant New Hope Eugene as one of the Music Directors. Chris has become an accomplished guitarist, playing alongside well known artists such as Rachel Lampa, Paul Wright and Anthony Evans. Chris currently serves on the Worship Team at New Hope Oahu.
Fred Alcain – DRUM SET / PIT ORCHESTRA DIRECTOR
Fred Alcain is the Music Director at New Hope Oahu, overseeing the 100+ member team of musicians and singers. Fred holds Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Music Education and HawaiianStudies from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and has a Professional Degree inPercussion from the Los Angeles Music Academy. Fred is also the producer of New Hope Oahu’s 3 time Na Hoku Hanohano award winning albums with Dream Records. Prior to New Hope, he was the Elementary Music Teacher at Trinity Christian School. Fred is married to Jana Alcain, New Hope Oahu Vocal Director, and has 2 beautiful girls.
Dane Ison – MUSICAL THEATRE & SHOW CHOIR DIRECTOR
Prior to working full time at New Hope Oahu, Dane Ison received a Bachelors of Education in Music at the University of Hawaii, Manoa and became an acclaimed Choir and Band Director in the DOE. He later served as a Program Director, Vocal Director and Creative Director at New Hope Oahu. Dane formed the first New Hope Youth Choir in 1999, which later became the New Hope Youth Performing Arts Center. Dane has directed 15 YPAC Musical Productions, (including “Godspell”, “Children of Eden”, “It’s a Wonderful Life”, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, “Beauty and the Beast”, “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”, “Seussical” Jr.,“The Wiz”, “Godspell” Jr., “Les Miserables”, “Hairspray” Jr., and most recently “Shrek” Jr. ) and our national award winning Show Choirs since 2015. Dane’s greatest passion is equipping and inspiring the youth with Christian values through the Arts – helping and encouraging them to discover, develop and grow in their gifts and character. “With ENERGY…from the HEART…for GOD!”

Antoinette Murray – KEIKI CHOIR DIRECTOR
Antoinette Murray’s love for singing, directing, and writing music started when she was three years
old. She grew up in a very musical pastor’s home. As she grew she was very sure of what she wanted to do – be a musician, singer and director! She began doing vocal session work in Los Angeles when she was 7. This just continued to confirm what she wanted to do. Antoinette has sung for Disney, Steve Green, Saddleback Church, Mega Trax, World of War Craft and many more. She attained a Bachelors of Art in Music, with an emphasis in theory and composition from California Baptist University. While at university, Antoinette was Lead Soprano in the University Choir and Orchestra. She was able to hold the role for 4 years. She learned so much about directing and leading during these important years. Since graduating 9 years ago, she has been performing, recording, directing both children and adult choirs and raising 2 wonderful children!
